Well another month has gone by. Otto is now two months and I only have 3 weeks left until maternity leave is over :(
He is 23 inches long and weighs 10.4 pounds.
Here are some of the things Otto is doing now.
He already knows how to work that lower lip!
He loves baths even more, but cries as soon as you take him out.
He loves to stand up and look around or make faces at you!
The kid is super skinny he wears newborn onsies still but nothing newborn footed because he is way too tall for them! I have some newborn jeans and they are about two inches too short and two inches too big around.
He has big feet. He wears 6-12 months socks and barely fits a size 1 shoe.
The day he turned 6 weeks he got really fun. He had been smiling a little before that, but that day and ever since he started smiling and gooing a ton!
Our usual bedtime routine was let him sleep downstairs until we went up to bed a 10:00. He would eat and then I would put him to bed and then he would wake up about every 3 hours to eat, and take anywhere from 30 min the an hour to fall back to sleep. 1 1/2 weeks ago his eating schedule got off a little. He ate at 8. So by 9:30 I was tired and decided just to put him to bed and get up in 1 1/2 hours to feed him. Well when I woke up it had been six hours since he had ate and he was still sleeping. Of course i freaked and had to make sure he was still breathing. When he finally woke me up it had been EIGHT HOURS! So i decided that was a good bed routine. We have been doing that ever since and he always goes a minimum of six hours before the first night time feeding and falls back to sleep in about 10 minutes! I am loving it. I hope it sticks!
Also because he was having such a hard time falling asleep I got in a bad habit of putting him in bed with us sometimes because he fell to sleep easier and I just wanted sleep!
Well I am happy now he sleep in his cradle all of the time.
He is very alert. And if you move your head, finger, or something slow enough he will follow it around with his eyes.
He loves to suck on his hands. I try not to let him because i don't want it to turn into thumb sucking!
