Adventures of Alese & Ryan

Since i have Saturdays off now and even every other Friday we decided that this summer we are going to do something together every weekend. Have what we refer to as an "adventure" every weekend. Nothing too extravagant maybe just a horse ride or go fishing. Or maybe we'll go camping or out of town, maybe even just a double date or maybe go to seven peaks. We both just have so many of our own hobbies, or if we don't have anything going on separate we end up doing pretty much nothing. So now we have a plan to break out of that funk and have fun together.
Here is adventure #1...
Ryan took me to the Fremont Indian State Park. He grew up going there in scouts and with family so he knew his way around.
It was lots of fun!
We started on the paved trail behind the museum. Here is the writings we found there...
This was up on in the mountains a little bit. And you can't really tell but the rock I am sitting on is only half way sitting on a ledge that had a pretty good drop off. (if you don't know I am sort of afriad of heights and steep ledges mostly) I did okay getting over there, but then I made Ryan come help me down because i was kinda freaking out :)

This was Ryan's way of taking a picture of the two of us together (our reflection in a window)

Love him! He is so funny!

This was our map of all the different hikes. We wanted to go to more that weren't by the museum but we couldn't keep it sense it was a "loaner" so my way-too-smart-for-me husband said duh Alese just take a picture of it. Worked Great!

We went to trail #2 and hiked a ways looking for writings and didn't find any but we did find this cool cavern like place back in the rocks and took a couple more pictures.

So then after we had hiked all this way (and it was actually so warm that day it was hot) as we were heading back to the car, there were the writings right by the road. lol

Ry had to practice his photography skills... He is pretty proud of the way my hair is blown :)

Of course I had to pull a Wayne Anderson face!

Our last hike was up to the Cave of 100 hands.

We were pretty interested by this one. We went to Escalante and some other places down there for our first anniversary. we stayed at a bed and breakfast that had some writings on there property and they had this same one there. Same size and everything. they didn't know what it meant but they reffered to it as the "Smoking Cowboy."

So it was a fun adventure. Nice to get outside in the warm and get some excercise, see some neat stuff, and spend time with each other!

That was two weeks ago. Our Adventure this past week was we drove to Sigurd to a junk yard to get a rim for our car sense we had a bent one. Also in Salina Ryan wanted to go to Burns Saddlery and I wanted to go to Denny's for their seasoned fries (YUM!), so we did that too.

I am so excited for the many Adventures to come!

Horse Ride

Now that we have TWO horses we can ride, we have been going after work since we actually have Daylight when we get home now! Here is where we went riding last night. Out by Mills. It was good riding but soft dirt so LOTS of tripping. But it was fun! So glad we can go riding together now!!!

Playing with Ryker!

These pictures are pretty old but I realized I never posted them. Sometime in Janurary we got to watch Ferrin's little boy (2 years old). He is so cute the first thing he did when he got to our house was he had to explore it and check out the whole house. It was so cute!
(Ignore my mess this is upstairs where stuff just gets stacked to deal with at a later date!)
I got out a bunch of toys out for him to play with. The tractor was about all he wanted to play with, BIG Surprise huh! :)
Then we took him sleding. first Ryan just pulled him around our yard. And part of it had a good enough slope he could just give him a push. lol
Then we took him down the lane behind the 4wheeler. He loved all the animals down there.
We had SOOO much fun with him! We just love this Kid!!!

Weekend Adventures

Had a fun weekend!!! Friday night we hung out with Kellen & Ferrin and played the game of Life!
It was really fun! Niether Ryan or I had played that game since we were very young and it was lots of fun!!! Oh and their sons are SOOO CUTE!!! Had lots of fun giggling at them too!
The next day Ryan went with the Kenisons to help at the UBIA bull sale in Salina.
So I went up north to hang out with Jenna. We pretty much just went to our favorite place to eat...
Then we just did a little shopping.
That night Ryan and I hung out with Kellen & Ferrin AGAIN!!!
We went and saw the new movie It was REALLY funny. We loved it! Then we went for ice cream at our favorite place in the world (well in Nephi at least) Reeds Drive In.
It was a really fun weekend!

Having Fun!!!

We have been so busy lately but it has all been doing fun stuff!!! sorry i don't really have any pictures though.
The weekend after we went to St George i went and got my hair done by my cousin Joqell Friday morning. I have swoop bangs now. It is different but I think she did a great job they look really good!!! it was time for a change i think i have had the same hair style since like 7th grade! So we were talking about how we need to do something together and she said they were going to a roping in Moab that afternoon and staying over night. she asked if we wanted to go. At first we thought eh... we were not home last weekend we probably should stay home, but then Bodie (her finance) called Ryan and talked us into going with them. We had a blast!!! Even though it was freezing!
That Sunday my little sister called and said she was going to come over and visit me, and not very much later my Mom called to see if they could come down and visit. So we had a full house for a little while, but I love having family and friends over!!!

Joqell and Bodie also wanted to go bowling with us when we got home saturday night but it was late so we just got ice cream and planned to go bowling the next weekend with them. So last Friday we went to fat cats with them and bowled for two hours. I think we got in three games, and no big deal but I BEAT Ryan all three games!

The next night we hung out with Ryan's cousin Jerad and his wife and my friend Shayna. They also wanted to go bowling, so we went to Payson that time. However, i think Ry beat me that night. then Shayna took us to this awesome ice cream place. i guess technically it's frozen yogart but you just make your own with whatever toppings and ice cream you want, and then they weigh it and charge you based on how much it weighs. And it was really good ice cream.

On that Friday i also got a phone call in reponse to a KSL ad i had put up to take pictures. So on Saturday i went a took some photos. I didn't get to do a lot of diversified poses because they just needed head shots for a modeling agency but it was still good experience. Here is a few of those photos.

I also got a new Dining Table, I'll have to get a picture of it up. I love it!!! It was just what I had been looking for at a great price!

Last weekend we also signed up for netflix so we have had fun watching movies too. We should have done that in the beggining of winter though, now we are coming into the time of year I want to be outside instead of inside watching movies. Oh well.
